“ El Moro is a true Cozumel treasure. Our server Ray was attentive, funny, and super efficient—maybe because his parents own the place and were keeping an eye on him! But seriously, this is a warm, family-run restaurant where everyone pitches in, and it shows. My wife had the Chicken Tuculeño (pictured), and I had the Chicken Madrileña—both were absolutely delicious, authentic, and served in HUGE portions. This after starting with the garlic soup which was amazing. We were running late and decided to skip the start of the Seahawks game at home but the staff found it for us on their TV and even cheered along with us. Can’t recommend this place enough—great food, great people, and great atmosphere. Don’t miss it! ”
“ Best prices and food on the island but off the main road. They have been here over 60 years but won’t be much longer without your support. The co-owner Ray is without a doubt the hardest working person on the island. The Mayan coffee is a 30 minute experience and incredibly good ”
“ the location might not be central but the flavour is definitely there! we had guacamole, chicken with mole and chicken yucatan style and everything was delicious. they also served us chips & pico de gallo on the house. highly recommended. ”
“ We loved absolutely everything… the food is delicious, the staff is the most friendly staff we had ever met, and the atmosphere is very relaxed, welcoming, and laid-back. For 2 people’s feast we paid £27. We will visit anytime we are in Cozumel :) ”
“ Often frequented by locals this is a Cozumel must visit ! This restaurant has been in the family for decades . The entire food is freshly prepared on placing the order. Highly recommend . ”
